This device use the "Magnetic Principle" :
The "Magnetic Principle" : It uses same principle as the "Hamel Spinner". The destabilizing magnet on top is the "Hamel Spinner" and the first Cone that wobbles would equate to the smaller disc magnet and ball bearing. The Spinner wants to move in a circular path under the larger destabilizing magnet. That is in part why the cones Wobble. The cones want to seek equilibrium, but can only find it in a dymanic way !
This "Magnetic principle" device will, if built right, run for many thousands of years !
This device is under construction, and NOT FULLY TESTED.

Here is how to make this thing work every time!!!!!!
Take a piece of PVC pipe 4 X 1/2 inches in diameter by 1 inch wide, this gives you the right diameter for the outside, the inside diameter then becomes 3 X 7/8" inside diameter, now find some 1 X 7/8 X 3/16 inch cheap magnets at the hardware store, (cheap ones).
Glue the magnets around the inside of the PVC tube all North Poles facing inside, this gives you the big correct ring magnet.
Now get a ring magnet 2 inches in diameter by 3/8 of an inch, get a steel ball of 1 inch diameter. Stand up the magnet with the steel ball put the big ring magnet above this and get it to stand up when the magnet starts to fall it will start to spin.
Keep the angle right and it will start to speed so fast it will try to fly off the table, so it takes work to keep it up.
NOTE : The 4.5" pipe is BLACK ABS plastic My Brother sat there for about 1hr after that "HE SAID THAT HE HAD AN IDEA FOR NEW PERMANENT MAGNET MOTOR BUT NOT LIKE HAMELL'S" I will keep you posted on what He makes as for Me I have MY own ideas.

> Date: Saturday, February 22, 1997 5:27 PMHi John!
Say, I tried that thing with Radio Shack off the shelf 1" disc magnets. The first trial was with a 4" pvc pipe with the magnets on the inside rim, using another magnet mounted on a 1" diameter ball and with another magnet mounted on a 3/4" ball. It did not even try to spin. I stuck a magnet on a plastic pen to see how strong the fields were and there was a good 1/2 to 3/4" gap from the inside magnet perimeter to a detectable repulsion.
So, went out and and picked up a 2" and a 3" fitting and tried it on both, using the same kind of magnets and the same bearings. It is in attractive mode and the ball will rock around a bit but does not spin more than about 180 degrees max before stopping.
I tried it with different pitch angles thinking along the lines of Beardens' regauging where you use a progressively higher intensity placement of magnets, but it simply slides to one side and hangs up at an angle. Strange...
Well, at least with the 2" pipe the magnet on the ball at least stands up. Perhaps it has to be on a glassy, minimum resistance surface but I tried that on a dining room table and it did the same thing, no prolonged spin.
I note in the picture that Hamels magnet is tilted which would cause a weak to strong attraction gradient because of the pitch, but without some inertia you are back to the old 'over the hump' problem that occurs with all perpetual motion machine schemes....works great going down and part of the way up, but about 320-350 degrees, it needs a kick to make it go on over.
That is how the guy in Louisiana does his, he has an electric motor that helps it over, with a large enough mass and high enough speed, it can get some power generated.
Well, I am disappointed so far and can't understand what would make it rotate unless;
- 1) there is an inherent spin in magnetic fields
- 2) there is a field interference between two magnetic fields that produces a rotation
- 3) it has a gradient field with a kicker (what you suspected as the wobbling of his hand)
I think Hamel realized this also and that is why he resorted to the cone under cone schemes using the tilt of the cone in its attempt to restore balance....that tilt is 'just enough' to serve as the kick it over the hump that it needs to start another revolution.
Well, I'd really like to report that I saw the thing work and did it myself using something off the shelf, when other people do the same thing, then its out....so I'll post your report and see what happens, maybe someone can duplicate it and/or report back on the 'trick'...
...seeya!

This must be done just like I said, it will not work until It's done like I have done it, I have already tried everything You have done. The geometry must be correct or the magnetic fields will not do the two particle spin.
Once again the big ring must be 4 1/2 inches in diameter the magnets must be 1 inch X 7/8 X 3/16. All North Poles must face inward when this is done this will give you an inside diameter of 3 7/8 by 1 inch width, this gives you the correct gate, the ring magnet must be 2 inches X 3/8 thick South POLE facing upward. this unit must be in attraction, the magnetic field being strong will only hinder you.
The Big Ring magnet has only 14 magnets inside it the 15TH magnet is left out, The unit must be placed on a Formica table to take advantage of the reduced friction.
I took the unit I made to My Brothers house where a birthday party was going on all the kids are 7 years old every one of them once shown could do it. My dad who is 73 years old even did it. My Mom is the only one to have a hard time keeping it up.
I guess I should make you one and send it to you so it will work, I asked Gary to make a film of Me doing this and I will send it to you. Jerry the Geometry of this is very important you can't make changes it must be done just like I said.
The Radio Shack Magnet you are talking about means you must have a different Gate to match the ring with the ball, The one inch ring magnet must have a gate of 2 1/2 inches in diameter or it will not work.
Report on what I have said let them dispute me and I will win when you see the video I send you.
I also have sent you a .GIF to use you can put all the dimensions in the proper place, I also will try to set up another page with this on it, I wish I had a way to make a AVI of this. Can you help?

John Bedini's Magnetic Gate - 02/25/97
John believes this is a probable motor force which is currently under investigation. You are invited to experiment with these principles and also share your findings with everyone.
I am still experimenting with various versions as time allows and it is MOST INTRIGUING to witness this. John is right, something is going on here that everyone needs to check out.
The idea of simulating Hamel's large ring magnet by using multiple small magnets mounted inside a PVC or ABS pipe makes it simple for ANYONE to experiment with this. More will be posted in as timely a fashion as I can. John is also setting up a page on his site (posted below), for additional insights. Please share anything you might find out, just build it!....>>> Jerry

NOTE : As of 08/24/99 - with the advent of new information from Mr. Hiroshi Maekawa, this document has been modified to verify the claim of an entirely new and novel discovery of the phenomena claimed in the 'Ohsako Principle'.
This information cascaded from an intial email that was sent in courtesy of Mr. Hiroshi Maekawa as a possible new approach to a self running engine technology. Several in our group are attempting to duplicate the claim and intended to post any results when or if we achieved success.
Events have shown that many would be interested in trying to duplicate it, thus in the interest of the KeelyNet 'Gestalt', this document was put together in order to share our observations and correlations to date.
As of 08/24/99, this CLAIM HAS NOT been proven though it is under construction by various associates, please feel free to experiment and report in if you get results..thanks!
The email as sent in by Mr. Maekawa;
Hiroshi Raymond Maekawa 123-20 82nd Ave., #4-D, Kew Gardens, NY 11415 U.S.A. E-mail : free_energy@msn.com Dear sirs, My name is Hiroshi R. Maekawa, an individual citizen. To make a long story short, I would like you to review the attached information which is about a new physical phenomenon, called 'Ohsako's principle'. I think this information will be a clue to invent new age motor. Of course I know nobody takes this territory seriously and everybody thinks that I am not a normal person. Anyway please review the idea (International publication # WO 99/37011) registered with WIPO and let me have your comment on that. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you very much. Very truly yours, Hiroshi R. Maekawa Aug.22,1999
the Ohsako Principle
The magnetic energy of a permanent magnet is controlled by the 'Ohsako's principle" which is a newly discovered space magnetism physical phenomenon and a rotor is continuously revolved and the rotation force is taken out only by the magnetic energy of the permanent magnet.
A radial magnetic field is formed in a space between an outer stator consisting of a cylindrical permanent magnet and an inner stator consisting of a cylindrical permanent magnet whose size is smaller that that of the outer stator.
The rotor consisting of a permanent magnet is placed in the radial magnetic field to convert the magnetic energy into rotation energy.
Modified from the WIPO application WO 99/37011We have two magnetic cylinders, one within the other with a gap wide enough to allow a small bar magnet to orbit, neither of the two cylinders move.
We have a bar magnet mounted on an arm attached to a rotor that allows it to rotate within the space between the two magnetic cylinders.
The polarity of the bar magnet shows the SOUTH end in motion which is claimed to drag the magnet around in the orbit, however, no polarities are shown for the two magnetic cylinders.
AHA!
When I first read this on Sunday, I immediately wrote emails to some trusted associates about it asking what they thought. I went to bed at 11PM but could not sleep so wrote more emails at 1:30AM and tried to sleep again.
Something kept bothering me about the design as it looked familiar. The AHA! came about 4AM when I realized it was John Bedini's Magnetic Fluxgate in a slightly different form. (* so I thought at the time, but that 'realization' has now been determined erroneous with the new information from Hiroshi given on 08/23/99)
Prior Art
First, the Stewart (Pat) Harris TOMI (theory of magnetic instability) where the basic design uses 3 rolls of Radio Shack disc magnets, taped together to form 3 cylinders. Two of the magnet rolls are laid out parallel to each other on a slight ramp (at an angle of 10 up to 35 degrees) so they have opposing polarity.
When you insert the 3rd magnet cylinder horizontally between the two vertical tracks so that the like poles repel, the cylinder will roll up the ramp and drop off the edge.

The next series of files are based on the claims of David Hamel of Canada, and listed in the Hamel Index Page.
The original Hamel Spinner post from 02/08/97 where it showed an interesting rotation of a steel ball under a disk magnet.
At the time of this first post about Hamel, no one to my knowledge had actually TESTED the spinner effect as explained in the excellent book by Pierre Sinclair and Jeanne Manning, 'The Iron Man and the Butterfly'.
John Bedini was the first to build and report back with his version of the Hamel spinner on 02/23/97.
In continuing investigations into this peculiar spinning effect, John came up with the idea of using many small magnets that allow you to make any size torus or ring.
This led to the Bedini Magnetic Flux Gate on 02/25/97 which showed an effect I had never heard of or seen described before.
From this, Dan Davidson came up with a design for a motor on 03/01/97 which was not built at the time.
If you think of a doughnut with magnets of the same polarity all facing inward, then cut the top and bottom off this doughnut, you get two cylinders with the same polarity facing inward, ergo, the same as the 'Ohsako principle' claim.
At the time of this original drawing, we had no concrete data on the orientation of the magnetic poles of the two cylinders in the Ohsako model. The drawing above is a 'guesstimate' that shows the cylinders with like poles (SOUTH) facing each other as it would be with a Bedini Fluxgate, except that Bedini uses NORTH poles based on tests of which gave the greatest thrust through the gate.
We have since learned that the Ohsako cylinders should have opposite poles facing each other which is reflected in the next drawing.
Jean Naudin's experiments
Jean Naudin also verified the thrust produced by the Bedini Fluxgate with several tests.
His Basic Construction and Duplication page is available here.
Naudin went a little further in attempting to increase the thrust by use of Multiple Fluxgates in a Compound Accelerator.
Here are some of Naudins'Test Reports.
An interesting chart of the calculated Fluxgate Pattern.
And finally, Naudins' version of the Hamel Spinner.
As you can see in this corrected version using the new information provided by Hiroshi, the Bedini Fluxgate is very similar to the 'Ohsako principle' and preceded it by a couple of years. The novelty here is the claim that it will drive the magnet on its own, a logical extension of the Bedini Fluxgate as proposed in 1997 in Dan Davidsons' diagram.
However, as you can see by the comparisons in the drawings below, the Ohsako Fluxgate uses alternate polarities and is thus more closely akin to the TOMI than the Bedini Fluxgate which uses LIKE POLES.
That means the Ohsako Fluxgate uses Harris' 'Theory of Magnetic Instability'.
The 'Ohsako Principle' is in fact,
a perpendicular version of Stewart (Pat) Harris' TOMI device.
Other VoicesOn 08/25/99 in an AIM chat, Ken Carrigan brought up the Howard Johnson Motor. This URL shows photos from the magazine article as well as text. Note the Stonehenge like arrangement of magnets mounted on a lazy susan turntable. When he holds a big magnet down inside this arrangement, the table spins with force and speed....sound familiar?
Howard Johnson's 'Stonehenge Motor'
From the picture description;'Top right is a rotary motor upon which the prototype will be built. The eight ounce magnet, hand held to the large ring weighing 40 pounds, provides enough force to spin the entire assembly.'
Notice the FOUR SECTIONS and the U-shaped (horseshoe) magnets in the diagram. These horseshoe magnets appear to be separated by some kind of block. He seems to hold the exciter magnet ONLY within the flux lines of the TOP section of the horeshoe magnets.
In case you are wondering, I could find no correlation to the real Stonehenge layout, its just that the way Johnson has the magnets laid out is reminescent of the standing stones at Stonehenge. Here is what the ground plan looks like when all the stones were present and believed to be in their original position. If the Stonehenge wheel spins because of the Bedini Fluxgate, that means each of these horseshoe magnets MUST have the same polarity on each end, as they are held tightly together because the like poles on each end would be REPELLING each other. So if the tops of all the horseshoe magnets were NORTH poles and we held a magnet with its NORTH pole down into the flux lines from these NORTH poles, a rotary force would be imparted to the ring and make the lazy susan spin.
If the Stonehenge wheel spins because of the Ohsaki Fluxgate (that uses the TOMI orientation), that means each of these horeshoe magnets MUST have OPPOSITE polarites so they would be ATTRACTING EACH OTHER. So if you place the SOUTH end of the handheld magnet into the top ring, the lazy susan would also spin.
For my money, Howard Johnson could be using EITHER METHOD since both would impart a spin based on the Bedini and Harris/Ohsako's observations.
The drawing to the left shows Minatos power generator design, note the magnets have the crescent moon shape that was patented by Howard Johnson, with the idea that the magnetic flux would be focused at the tip to provide greater thrust in a smaller area.Minato was claiming power generators that produced electricity from his self-running system and a demonstration was held in Mexico City, yet nothing has come out of any of the claims to date. He was also supposed to be building a magnet power generator system to power 30 homes in Japan as reported on CNN. We have no information to show this ever happened either.
The question with Minatos device is the same as with Howard Johnson and the Hamel Spinner, will it work with no human intervention, requiring someone to hold the exciter magnet?
Check out the Minato wheel which also used NORTH poles repelling from NORTH poles like Bedinis' tests showed were the most powerful reaction.
We were hoping for plans from Minato's people on how to build the self-running bicycle wheel that Henry Curtis reported as seeing and testing at the Korean conference, however, that hasn't happened.
![]()
Here are two views of Minato's self-running wheel,
one stopped, the other running - driven only from the wall mounted exciter.An interesting quote by Henry Curtis from the Minato page above;
"The motor is actuated by moving the N pole of a large permanet magnet (the drive magnet) toward the wheel. As this magnet is moved toward the wheel, the wheel starts to spin. As the magnet is moved closer to the wheel it spins faster. The same trick must be present in the Hamel Spinner. I noted in my tests with the Spinner using several different sized ball bearings, that it would spin but always revolve out of the influence of the magnet. John Bedini's next door neighbor suggested created a slight cavity in a smooth surface table, so that when the ball moved out from under the magnet, it must ride up the side of the cavity, causing gravity to 'push' it back down to reset the influence of the magnet, thus keeping it spinning. This has not been proven to my knowledge but could make a great toy.The acceleration of the wheel is rapid. So rapid in fact, as to be startling. To put it another way I was very impressed. The motor works. And it works very well. In the film clip a slight pumping action of Minato's hand holding the magnet is apparent. When I braced my hand so that there was no pumping action, the motor still ran. In fact it seemed to run better.
Pumping action by the hand held magnet IS NOT the power that drives the motor. When the drive magnet is moved away from the wheel it coasts rather quickly to a stop and comes to rest in a manner typical of any spinning bicycle wheel.
Again when the wheel is at rest and a large magnet is moved up to the wheel it starts to spin. At no time is it necessary to touch the wheel to get it to rotate.
On 08/25/99, John Bedini emailed me 3 of his 1991 Fluxgate drawings in case anyone is interested in checking them out.
On 08/27/99, Hiroshi (Raymond) kindly emailed me a set of 3 Ohsako Motor drawings which are now available online.
Several of us are working to test this hypothesis and see if the device will self-run, we will of course share all results. If you have insights or comments about this you would like to share, please email Jerry or email Chuck at KeelyNet...thanks!
Here are two additional emails from Monday 08/23 and Tuesday 08/24, the corrections suggested by Hiroshi will be made Wednesday.
Hiroshi Raymond Maekawa 123-20 82nd Ave., #4-D, Kew Gardens, NY 11415 E-mail : free_energy@msn.com Dear Mr.Decker, thank you very much for your quick response. First of all, the reason why I sent e-mail to you is that I would like to share the idea, "Ohsako's principle", which Mr.Ohsako discovered almost 10 years ago, with people as many as possible. In fact Mr.Ohsako keeps doing research and development by himself at his own factory and laboratory in spite of being suffered from serious kidney disease. And I suppose that he will never quit it until he finishes it or he dies. I am just and only his partner and I don't even have the document of the idea with me. That's why I have to get the official document from WIPO database. Anyway the phenomenon, " Ohsako's principle", really DOES work. Hold the rotator at level position by your hand, it actually starts rotating with quite big force. What we have to find out is how to hold the rotator at the position other than your hands. To tell you the truth, "Ohsako's principle" really works. But unfortunately none of the system attached to the rotator to hold the rotator at the position that we experimented so far, including the idea published with WIPO at this time, worked. Of course, we experimented many ways and develop the knowledge by spending huge amount of time and money believe it or not, we spent approximately $2 million mostly from his previous invention though). But please don't get me wrong. I am not asking for money but I want the motor work by using this phenomenon by anyone in the world as soon as possible to save the earth. In the meantime Mr.Ohsako could finish soon because he is not just inventor. He is very familiar with many kind of different field such as aerodynamics, physics, architects, electronics and so forth. And at the same time he is very good engineer as well. Therefore I will try to get the information as much as I could and send them to you as soon as possible. Thank you very much. Very truly yours, Hiroshi R. Maekawa 8/23/99
Hi, Jerry. Thank you very very much for the home page you made. I hope that people will see this site as many as possible. By the way I found one mistake on this page. At comparison drawings, inside of outer stator should be blue (N) and outside of outer stator should be red(S). That's the only discrepancy. Thank you again. Hiroshi R. Maekawa 8/24/99
Updated 02/28/99
IT ONLY SPINS WHEN HOLDING THE MAGNET WITH YOUR HAND!
Raymond wanted to clear up the FACT that the machine drawings that are shown in the three diagrams were IDEAS, had NOT been built.
He wanted to clearly state so there is no error, that the spin only happens when you hold the exciter magnet in your hand, just like the Hamel Spinner, just like the Howard Johnson motor.
Only the TOMI runs on its own up the ramp when you release it.
Here is Raymonds email to that effect;
Good morning Jerry. Please let me explain something. I didn't send all of the drawings that WIPO shows. Because I didn't want you to get confused. As per my 2nd letter I sent to you, the only "Ohsako's principle" part works so far. What it needs is some device that will reliably hold the rotator at the level position (I don't know how to express this though). What we applied to WIPO is Ohsako's principle and 2 sample ideas which show how to hold the rotators. WE TESTED THE 2 IDEAS BUT NEITHER WORKED. That's why Mr.Ohsako keeps testing other ways (through research and development). In the mean time, I came to have no money to support him. So I stepped out of it financially. Mr. Ohsako was almost dead in a hospital early this year. Now he is a little better with his mental strength. If anyone invents the device that will reliably hold the rotator at the position, the motor spins for sure. So I need to share the idea, Ohsako's principle, with as many people as possible in the world. IT DOESN'T SPIN YET ON ITS OWN, IT ONLY SPINS WHEN HOLDING THE rotator at the position by hands. But I talked with Mr. Ohsako on the phone last week, he discovered some new phenomenon which works with Ohsako's principle. So I guess it doesn't take long. He could finish it in a year at the longest. Please don't get disappointed. I had already explained to you in my letter (that it didn't work without human intervention). Thank you. Raymond 8/28/99
An Update indicating Ed Leedskalnin of Coral Castle fame might have built a magnetic motor or generator as brought to our attention on 03/26/02 as posted on the Art Bell website at;
www.artbell/graphics22.html Jon in Orlando FL (Mergis@aol.com) writes: This is a picture of the a magnetic wheel that that the man at coral castle built. I'm his biggest fan. I went there and took this picture. Everyone seems to not even notice it there and it's the main component of all his work.
It appears to be a generator with the magnets as the stator and an armature that doesn't show any windings. If you have any ideas about it, please post to Jerry Decker and I will post to the KeelyNet Interact discussion list so all can read it and express their viewpoints, thanks!
